Parker's Delusions

A message to Kathleen Parker regarding post of 10/22:

Lets talk ugly. Did you see the commercial produced by Howard Dean's brother showing close-up pictures of McCains cancer scars? How about the sexist statements made against Palin? The lipstick on a pig comment made by Obama was certainly one of those 'codes' used in attacks against women. Do you think only 'minorities' have people conspiring against them. How about Biden trying to scare people by saying Obama will be tested as President and that his decisions may not appear right at first but we have to stick with him. How about the fact that Obama has already spent more money on negative advertising than any candidate in history? These parts of Obama's campaign uglinees seems to have been conveniently ignored in your post.
Yet you state the McCain camp has turned ugly because of a few people in the crowd are shouting bad things. Or that McCain has produced ads stating facts about Obama that show he is a waffler unfit to lead this nation. As for Palin saying Obama is palling around with terrorists, it is not ugly if it is the truth that people need to hear. I am at a complete loss trying to figure out why Joe The Plumber is being vetted by the Media, but not Ayers. He may have bombed the Pentagon, but it is his constant negative attacks against America that is at the center of this issue. Try listening to an Obama crowd, you will hear the same negative and sometimes violent rhetoric you hear at a McCain rally.
You may not think Palin is ready to be VP, but you are being willfully ignorant to think that Obama and Biden are ready for their potential new jobs. Joe Biden's gaffes are of greater or at least equal significance to those made by Palin. I wonder if you believe as I do that your opinion of Palin is simply you being 'catty'. For even if her perceived shortcomings are true and not just symptomatic of the media's selective coverage, I would much rather have someone in the Oval Office who knows the difference between right and wrong. It does not take a Steven Hawkins type intelligence to know the difference between right and wrong. Have you even read about what happened in the closed door meetings that everybody seems to think McCain was so erratic in? Word is Obama was given the lead in the economic meeting and he blew it and the meeting disintegrated. But of course you are ignoring the fact that the PR machine of Obama (the media) has spun this to Obama's favor because McCain had to capitulate in order to move the country forward. McCain put country first, Obama put himself first. Big surprise there. McCain compromised down for the good of the country, yet is made the scapegoat by the Obama media circus, of which seems you are more than happy to join. Obama has not led anything besides his own election campaigns, yet you are actually ceding the notion that he is capable of leading. Leading the sheep that is the American Idol culture to their slaughter is what he will do.

Your arguments are specious my dear and ring hollow in my ears. I hope you will have an epiphany and come back to the fold before you reach the point of no return.
